With all the noise we have been making about the Quickteller App and Safetoken, we may have drowned out the fact that transactions on Quickteller can actually be carried out via SMS!
As long as your card has been registered for the Safetoken Service, either by yourself or by your bank, you do not require a 3G/Edge internet connection or a smartphone to use Quickteller via SMS.
By using and sending certain text commands to 32122 you can:
- check your account balance,
- request for a One-Time Password (OTP),
- pay a bill,
- buy airtime recharge and
- transfer funds
via SMS.
All you need is a GSM service on your phone and you are good to go.

The only time I get that message is when I enter an incorrect OTP. The best thing to do is to ensure that the line getting the OTP i.e that line associated with your bank account is on a separate phone so you don’t have to exit completely on order to view the OTP to complete your transactions.

Are do i register my verve card with safe token at the bank or Atm
I recently replaced my verve card and I haven’t gotten my new card activated with safe token. My bank (Ecobank) automatically activated my previous card for safe token but my new card was not activated for safe token. When i try and activate my card for safe token via the Quickteller app or the ATM i get invalid transaction error. Kindly assist with this.
